What is Aquaponics?
Aquaponics is the cultivation of plants and aquatic animals within a synergistic ecosystem. Requiring as little as one-tenth of the water needed for traditional field crop production, aquaponics recreates the same symbiotic relationships observed in nature without the use of chemicals.
Our mission is to grow the Aquaponics community and industry with excellence through leadership, supporting, developing and promoting the practice of Aquaponics on all levels.
The Aquaponics Institute invests its energy and collective skills in the creation of educational products, education distribution channels, industry learning events and learning support materials.
The Aquaponics Institute adds capacity to Instructors, farm managers and owners by providing opportunities to learn, develop know-how and better understand practical Aquaponics management and operational technologies for the individual, community and the corporation. We will do this through a range of services in business and management training, events, workshops and seminars, coaching, research, publications and media.
